Morgan T. Bendell
right after one of
practiced on himself
The band Freak is the brainchild of the late dr. Morgan T. Bendell. In his spare time, doctor Bendell carefully documented his concepts and ideas for a Super (...) rock group in an extensive portfolio which he always carried with him. Tragically, doctor Bendell died during a recreational cruise when the ocean liner SS Allison sank in january 2002. Fortunately, his portfolio did not vanish.
The sole survivor of the tragic event was one of the ship’s officers, Yelmore Oldhouse. He spent 3 years surviving on a desert island before a passing russian ship rescued him. It must have been somewhere in the second month of his stay when doctor Bendell’s portfolio drifted ashore the desert island. During the posttraumatic years spend on the island, Yelmore therapeutically studied the manuscripts that outlined what would become “... the best music act in the world...” –(Rolling Stone).
After Yelmore was rescued, he was obsessed to somehow put theory into practice. He started his journey to gather a group of musicians that could live up to Bendell’s standards. The first additional member of Freak was coincidently found at the russian ship that saved him. Bjerendsky, a russian aspiring a rodeo career in Texas, became the drummer of the band.
In a small pub in Portsmouth, England, they stumbled upon a drunk piano player. his name was L. J. Damned, but everybody called him Johny Miracle, due to the fact that, although he was deaf, he played the piano beautifully. Jelmore and Bjerendsky forced Johny Miracle to join the band.
The bass player of the band, Drees Vain, has been a fugitive after his famous self-help dvd “Spiritual Bass Playing”got released in the Solomon Islands. His instructional video provided an alternative way to, for instance, yoga to get inner rest by playing a traditional Solomon bass harp. Not knowing that this would offend numerous fanatic religious groups, he has been forced to leave the Solomon Islands. In Freak he found his home.
Together, these four decided to honour doctor Bendell and so they cloned doctor Bendell. They named the clone Mister Morris. Although, the clone turned out to be mentally challenged, his skills on the guitar were surprisingly articulate and much better than what doctor bendell could have wished for.
Within months Freak mastered to set up a repertoire and they instantly became legends. Whenever Freak is playing in a city near you do not hesitate but go for the ultimate experience!
